Can my parents leave a message in their language?
Yes. Octag answers in the caller's language, including Spanish, Mandarin, Hindi, Portuguese and Vietnamese, and your message slip always arrives in English.
Does Octag tell callers where I am?
Never. It doesn't share where you are, your class schedule, your dorm or room, or anything about your money or accounts, whoever asks.
What if a caller doesn't want to be recorded?
Octag's first sentence says it's an AI and that the call is recorded and transcribed. A caller who doesn't want that can say so. If they'd rather not go on, Octag ends the call and keeps nothing they said, only that their number called.
